At Gentry Psychiatric, being heard is the first step toward being understood. Care is thoughtful, thorough, and individualized, prioritizing a clear understanding of each patient before intervention, with a focus on long-term well-being over short-term solutions.
A diagnosis can be useful: it helps organize and communicate complex experiences- but it does not define who you are. Your symptoms are real and deserve to be addressed, but they are only one part of a much larger picture. My role is not just to identify and treat symptoms, but to understand you as a whole person; your history, your environment, your goals, and the context in which your symptoms arise.
Gentry Psychiatric is built around the belief that patients deserve to receive what they need, when they need it, whether that means clarity, structure, support, or intervention. This requires a flexible, attentive approach and a willingness to adapt, rather than fitting care into a rigid model.
Part of that commitment is making psychiatric care more accessible and understandable. Psychiatry can feel opaque or overly clinical. At Gentry Psychiatric, a core responsibility is helping patients make sense of their experience, demystifying the process, and ensuring that they feel informed and engaged in their own care.
Patients deserve an advocate: Someone invested in their well-being and willing to help them navigate complexity, both within and outside of the healthcare system.
Screening calls are required prior to scheduling an initial evaluation. A fee applies for the screening call. Scheduling a screening call does not guarantee acceptance as a patient.
